![]() Aside from carefully managing your shots, make sure to wait for a full reload before taking aim on enemies again. ![]() Instead of spamming your taps, plan a good angle of attack to hit as much enemy in a single fire.Īfter using/empting your ammunition, there is a fraction of time needed to engage the character into reloading phase. The shot gun fires a minutely spread-out projectile capable of hitting multiple enemies at long range. But a good balance of clip upgrades after can still be appreciated. Upgraded gun hits harder and has a higher chance to land a critical hit to enemies therefore eliminating the need for more shells to fire. So most likely I'll challenge the pirate captain again with the arena to test out my idea.Although far more expensive, it is wiser to save up coins for gun upgrades rather than upgrading its clip. I won't be getting any equipment upgrade any time soon because I don't feel like going deeper too. I'll create the arena near the boss spawn point while it is still walking(and remove obstacles as much a spossible), then leave a single block entrance and attack the boss until it ride its flying vehicle, get inside the arena and start fighting it. Will try it out later if I feel like doing it. The battle can turn into something similar to the ancient bird boss with higher HP. But I think this is easy to counter by creating a large arena(probably around 30x30 box wide) where the pirates cannot enter. I was able to beat the pirate captain with the same setup too but with difficulty close to swamp guardian because of its minions. While the bird is a lot slower, always visible(so you can predict its movements and evade it), and attacks less frequent and doesn't bounce. I believe the swamp guardian is too fast and has wider space it takes while it can dish out quite a lot of damage that is quite hard to evade even if you're a range fighter with high movement speed. Or it is just the compatibility? But this weapon is considered melee and its ranged part is really short, so I'm having doubts about the compatibility part. I think this boss is a lot harder than the bird because I was able to beat it 3 times(and got all the weapons it drops) withe the exact build. The battle turned into an endurance one, and happened that I'm more durable and can dish out more damage than this boss. I had a rematch and realized that food effects can't overlap with each others and the effect of the last food you ate will be the only active, unlike potions that their effects can be activated simultaneously. Now, if I can just figure out how the hell to beat the cryo queen. I wound up getting the achievement for beating a boss in under 30 seconds, and I then proceeded to kill it a few more times just for fun and loot. I just ran circles around the outside of the traps/lava, shooting my armor piercing genie lamp at the Swamp Guardian as I went. Automated with a switch and a timer so they were firing as fast as possible.Alternated void and flame traps aiming north and south facing the pool of lava.As I said, it has a lot of surface area to hit, so if it DID hurt it, in theory it should hurt it a lot. I don't know if this actually damaged the boss, but I figured I'd try.I'm not sure if it did, but this was my theory. High-output low-moderate damage should benefit a lot of armor piercing, assuming the boss has meaningful armor. ![]()
